AVOID PATTERN BETTING
Pattern betting is an even more popular method of marking bet slips. AVOID LOW NUMBER COMBINATIONS
The majority of Lotto players like to play the calendar numbers, such as birth dates and anniversaries—and their children's ages. This means that the most heavily played numbers are 1 through 31. How to Play Michigan Lotto 47
You must select six numbers from 1 to 47 to play Lotto 47. You can play online or via retailers in Michigan, and can either opt to pick your own numbers or get an Easy Pick to generate a random line. Each line costs USD $1, and you can enter the supplementary EZmatch or Double Play games in-store for an additional USD $1 each per line to win even more prizes. Just mark the relevant option on your slip before paying the retailer for your ticket.
You can choose to play the Wednesday draw, the Saturday draw, or both, and can enter up to 60 consecutive draws if you wish.
The prize for matching three Lotto 47 numbers is USD $5 and the cash awards increase as you match more numbers. The prize values are all fixed, apart from the jackpot, which is split between everyone who matches all six numbers. The jackpot can keep growing until it is won.
Ticket sales close at 7.08pm on the night of the draw, before reopening again for the next draw.
Prizes must be claimed within one year of the draw taking place.

Double Play
You can win more prizes by entering the Double Play add-on for an extra USD $1 per line. The draw is held straight after Lotto 47 on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and the same numbers you picked for the main game are used in this additional lottery. The balls used in both draws range between 1 and 47, so the same number can be drawn twice.
Double Play prizes start from matching just three numbers, and all non-jackpot prizes are doubled in value from the main draw. The fixed jackpot prize of USD $1.5 million can be won by matching all six numbers. Jackpot winners can choose to receive annuity payments over 30 years or a one-off lump sum.
